NASA will be showcasing medical-imaging technologies at the International Society for Optical Engineers SPIE Conference, February 23–28, 2002 in San Diego, California. This meeting is the internationally recognized forum for reporting state-of-the-art research and development in medical imaging. SPIE is encouraging contributions in all aspects of the full range of medical-imaging modalities, from the underlying fundamental scientific principles to clinical evaluations. The symposium covers a wide range of topics including medical image acquisition, display, processing, understanding, perception, storage and transmission, imaging physics and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). The 2002 IEEE Aerospace Conference will occur March 9–16, 2002. This is fertile ground for developing lasting relationships benefiting participants, their organizations and the engineering, scientific and aerospace communities far beyond the Conference. Topic areas will include aerospace systems, their underlying science and technology, and their applications to government and commercial endeavors.
