The 1999 National Space Symposium, April 58, 1999,
Colorado Springs, Colorado, is widely regarded as the premier annual
space forum, featuring top national and international speakers addressing
critical civil, commercial and national security space issues. The

Novel Concepts for Smaller, Faster and Better Space Missions,
April 1921, Redondo Beach, California, is an international
specialists symposium organized by the International Astronautical
Federation (IAF), Microcosm Inc., Orbital Sciences Corporation and
the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The symposium will focus on novel
concepts and mission opportunities along with the enabling system
design features of small satellite missions for commercial, scientific,
educational and other applications. There will be six sequential
technical sessions containing more than 40 papers by specialists
from government agencies, private industry and universities. A number
of present and planned mission concepts will be presented, ranging
from niche data messaging services via privately financed science
